The Light of Christ

About

Softly, Spoke The River

Jesus Christ said of Himself – “I am the Way and the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” [John 14:6]

His model and teaching will, therefore, always point us in this direction, so that His Way, His Truth and His life, may become our way, our truth and our life.

He told His followers that, “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” [John 10:10]

He said to the woman at the well, “..whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” [John 4:14]

God is the source of the living water, the River of Life, the Holy Spirit, whom Jesus was to send after HeΒ  was glorified through His Death, Resurrection and Ascension. The Holy Spirit points us always to the Living Truth who is Jesus Christ Himself, the only Way to the Father. This is the Spirit who lives within us, speaks within us, and teaches, guides and leads us in the Way, Truth and Life of Christ.
